Limited Run Games Partners with GameStop to Revive Retro Titles
Limited Run Games is teaming up with GameStop Retro stores this holiday season to bring back a lineup of classic console games. Known for producing limited physical copies of digital-only releases, Limited Run Games aims to cater to collectors and fans of physical media.
The partnership will see 16 retro titles released at select GameStop Retro locations across the U.S. Titles will be available in limited quantities, making them a must-grab for fans of vintage gaming.
One highlight is the re-release of four classic Jurassic Park games, including the 1993 NES port, complete with modern enhancements like save states and in-game maps. These games were recently included in the Jurassic Park: Classic Games Collection to celebrate the franchise’s 30th anniversary.
GameStop’s Retro stores, announced in August, offer classic consoles and games such as the Sega Saturn, Dreamcast, Nintendo 64, and PlayStation, appealing to a growing audience seeking physical media in a digital-dominated era.
In addition to this collaboration, Limited Run Games continues its revival streak with upcoming releases, including Tomba 2, the Gex Trilogy, and Bubsy in: The Purrfect Collection in 2025. The latter includes Bubsy 3D, widely regarded as one of gaming’s most infamous titles.
Fans are encouraged to act quickly, as these exclusive physical copies won’t last long.
