Manor Lords Dev Confirms New Resource Management Features and Map Update
Developer Slavic Magic has announced a new feature for the popular historical strategy game Manor Lords, addressing player feedback to enhance ale and water distribution mechanics. The update aims to add greater realism to the resource management system by allowing players to monitor supply and demand levels for water from wellheads across their towns. This change will require players to carefully place and manage wellheads to avoid shortages, adding another layer of strategy to the game.
The developer also teased an upcoming map, revealing a scenic winter landscape of a village nestled in a snow-covered valley surrounded by mountains. This new environment promises an exciting new setting for players as they decide where to establish and grow their medieval settlements.
Since Manor Lords launched in early access, it has captivated fans of historical strategy games, blending city-building with large-scale combat in a setting reminiscent of Total War. Despite a slower update pace, the developer and publisher Hooded Horse have emphasized a commitment to quality, aiming to deliver a polished experience over quick, incremental updates. With over two million copies sold, Manor Lords continues to engage players with its unique approach to medieval strategy and its ongoing development.
