Pathologic 3 Announced for 2025, Featuring Time Travel and More Twists
Ice-Pick Lodge has officially announced Pathologic 3, set for release in 2025. After originally planning to split Pathologic 2 into multiple chapters, the studio scrapped that idea and is moving forward with a full sequel instead.
In Pathologic 3, players will once again take on the role of the Bachelor, a doctor tasked with uncovering the mystery behind a deadly plague in a remote town. The game’s signature 12-day time limit returns, but this time there’s a twist—players can now travel back in time to revisit and alter key events. The goal is to prevent disaster, or at least reduce the chaos, through strategic choices.
Along with treating patients and researching the plague, players must navigate the decaying town, where trust is a rare commodity, and every decision has serious consequences. The strange and challenging nature of the Pathologic series will likely remain intact, as Ice-Pick Lodge continues to embrace its unique, sometimes “janky” gameplay style. Fans can expect the same niche appeal that made the previous games “weird and unforgettable.”
The Pathologic series, which debuted in 2005, has maintained a strong following despite its difficulty. Both Pathologic and Pathologic 2 enjoy “very positive” user ratings on Steam, proving that its fans appreciate the distinct, unconventional experience it offers. Pathologic 3 aims to build on that legacy, offering a fresh take while keeping the game’s signature strangeness alive.
