Players Banned from Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 Beta Due to Anti-Cheat Issues
The much-anticipated Call of Duty: Black Ops 6 beta is off to a rocky start as reports have emerged of players being mistakenly banned. Shortly after the beta officially launched on August 30, many players, including professional gamers, were issued temporary bans due to issues with the game’s anti-cheat system.
This beta allows players to get an early taste of Black Ops 6 while also helping Treyarch, the game’s developer, identify areas that need improvement. However, one of the game’s most pressing issues appears to be its faulty anti-cheat system, which has incorrectly flagged numerous players for cheating despite their innocence.
Bans Target Both Casual and Professional Players
According to reports from CharlieIntel, the wave of temporary bans in Black Ops 6 has affected a broad spectrum of players, from regular gamers to well-known professionals. These bans seem to have been issued mistakenly by the game’s anti-cheat system, which is designed to crack down on cheaters but appears to be overzealous in this instance. The beta is currently available to players who pre-ordered the game or subscribe to Microsoft’s Game Pass service.
The ban wave prompted an immediate response from the Call of Duty team, which confirmed they are working on adjustments to fix the issue. While they did not provide specific details, the team acknowledged the problem and assured players that changes are on the way to reduce these unwarranted bans.
Weapon XP and Other Issues Also Being Addressed
Aside from the anti-cheat issues, players have also voiced concerns over the weapon XP system in the Black Ops 6 beta. Treyarch has responded to these complaints, confirming that a fix is in the pipeline to address the issues related to progression.
With its release scheduled for later this year, Black Ops 6 has generated substantial excitement, particularly because of its fresh take on the series. The game is set to introduce several new features, including an overhauled movement system that allows players more dynamic options in combat. Fan-favorite systems like the classic prestige mode will return, while the new movement mechanics aim to take the franchise in an exciting direction.
Beta Open to All Players Soon
The Black Ops 6 beta will open to all players on September 6, running until September 9, offering fans a limited window to experience the game ahead of its full release. Though the beta is currently restricted to those who pre-ordered the game or have Game Pass, the upcoming open beta will allow a larger player base to provide feedback on the multiplayer mode, while the campaign and Zombies modes remain locked for now.
In addition to its new multiplayer features, Black Ops 6 will also mark the next chapter in the popular Zombies mode, with two round-based maps confirmed at launch. As the game progresses through its lifecycle, players can expect more content updates and enhancements.
As Treyarch works to resolve the technical issues, fans are hopeful that the launch of Black Ops 6 will be smoother and free from the problems currently plaguing the beta.
