The wait is over! Stalker 2: Heart of Chornobyl is set to launch on November 20, 2024, after facing delays earlier this year. Initially postponed in January to address technical issues and again in July due to “unexpected anomalies,” the game is now ready to welcome players back to the Zone.

Stalker 2 will launch on November 20 for most territories as both a standalone PC release and as part of Game Pass. Preorders are available at three price points:

- Deluxe Edition: $80 / £66 (Includes bonus weapons for single-player and multiplayer, three additional suits, a bonus side quest, and an art book/soundtrack.)
- Ultimate Edition: $110 / £90 (Includes all Deluxe Edition bonuses, four extra weapons, an additional suit, and a season pass for two expansions and future DLC.)
Unlike some games, there is no early access period—players worldwide will dive into the game simultaneously.

No Preload for PC Players
Unfortunately, Stalker 2 will not support preloading for PC players, despite its massive 160GB download size. According to the game’s official Discord, PC stores won’t have a preload option, so expect longer wait times on release day.
The game also requires installation on a solid-state drive (SSD) to ensure faster texture and asset loading, so if you’re still using an HDD, it might be time for an upgrade.
